What is BuilderWorld?
BuilderWorld is a public showcase and community for AI builders — people shipping projects with Claude, Cursor, Bolt, v0, Lovable, Windsurf, and other AI coding tools. Builders post what they made, what tools they used, and how long it took. The platform is free, open and indexable, self-declared, and trust-based with no verification gate.
Who can post projects?
Anyone with a GitHub, Google, or email account can sign up and post. There is no application, waitlist, or curation step. Anyone from senior engineers to first-time vibe coders is welcome. The only rule is that what you post is something you actually built (whether you wrote one line by hand or had AI write all of it doesn't matter).
What AI tools are supported?
The preset list includes Claude (Anthropic), Cursor, Claude Code, Bolt, v0, Lovable, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, Replit Agent, and ChatGPT / OpenAI Codex. There is also a free-form field for tools not in the preset. The list grows as the AI coding ecosystem evolves.
Do I need to prove I used AI tools?
No. The platform is self-declared — you list which AI tools you used and the community judges credibility through likes, saves, and follows. Verification gates would exclude exactly the audience BuilderWorld is for: weekend builders, vibe coders, and indie devs who don't want to prove anything to a moderation team.
Is BuilderWorld free?
Yes. Posting projects, commenting, following, saving, and using the free tools (AI Listing Drafter, Badge Generator, Showcase Generator) is free forever and requires no card. Pro is optional and adds analytics, custom theme color, hourly-rate badge, tip jar, and per-project sell links.
What does Pro include?
Pro is $8 USD per month (card via Polar) or prepaid in USDT (3 months $24, 6 months $48, 12 months $96 with about 17% discount via NOWPayments). Features: profile analytics dashboard, custom theme accent color, available-for-work badge with hourly rate range, tip jar (URL or USDT address), per-project sell link, and the Pro + Founding Member badge. The first 199 Pro subscribers get a permanent Founding Member mark — kept forever even if you cancel.
How is BuilderWorld different from Product Hunt?
BuilderWorld is a continuous chronological showcase for AI-built projects specifically; Product Hunt is a daily-leaderboard launch platform for any kind of product. BuilderWorld profiles are first-class portfolios; Product Hunt profiles are mostly upvote history. The two coexist in a launch strategy: BuilderWorld is for ongoing reputation, Product Hunt is for the launch-day spike.
How is BuilderWorld different from Peerlist?
BuilderWorld focuses specifically on AI builders and AI-coded projects. Peerlist focuses on broader tech professionals as a LinkedIn-alternative resume surface. BuilderWorld is multilingual (English / Traditional Chinese / Simplified Chinese) from day one and is centered on shipped work, not work history.
Is this related to builder.io?
No. builder.io is a CMS and visual development platform for marketing teams — it has no relationship to BuilderWorld. BuilderWorld is a community showcase platform for AI builders. The names share a word but the products and audiences don't overlap.
Can I post in Chinese (or other languages)?
Yes. Each project has a description language picker for English, Traditional Chinese, or Simplified Chinese. Projects keep their original language; a chip on the card signals which one. Locale-aware ranking gives projects in your preferred language a slight boost in feed and search. Other languages are not yet first-class but you can write in any language in your project description.
Can I sell things or accept tips through BuilderWorld?
Yes, indirectly. Pro builders can add a tip jar (URL or USDT address) to their profile and a sell link to each project. These point to whatever provider the builder chooses (Gumroad, LemonSqueezy, Stripe, NOWPayments, or a raw crypto address). Buyer money goes 100% to the builder via their provider — BuilderWorld charges zero commission and never touches the funds.
How do I report spam, harassment, or copyright violation?
Use the report button on any project or comment for spam, harassment, or other abuse. For DMCA copyright takedowns specifically, see /dmca for the full procedure and designated agent contact. Email support@builderworld.io for anything that doesn't fit those categories.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. Settings → Data lets you export all your account data (profile, projects, comments, likes, saves, follows) as a JSON file. Settings → Account lets you permanently delete your account, which cascades and removes your projects and interactions. If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it on Polar or NOWPayments before deleting to avoid further charges.
