Editor's verdict
Pick Runway when you're a video editor who happens to use AI, not an AI builder who happens to need video — the UI/UX is genuinely product-grade, with Premiere-Pro-level control. Pure quality has been overtaken by Veo 2 and Kling 1.6 since mid-2025, but for film-making workflows where you're stitching shots together, Runway still wins on workflow ergonomics. API access is also more mature than Sora's.
